CHEF-IN-RESIDENCE
Jack Coghlan & Matthew Reade
Sun, July 5: 4 - 8 PM
Mon, July 6: 5 - 9 PM
Matthew Reade and Jack Coghlan take over the Bar Blondeau kitchen on July 5 & 6. The pair worked together under chef James Lowe at his groundbreaking restaurant Lyle’s in London. Reunited for the first time in years, they’ll pick up right where they left off. Expect a menu anchored by seasonal ingredients, serious craft, and honest cooking.
Jack Coghlan
Jack Coghlan is from Sydney, Australia, where he trained and began his culinary career. After moving to London, he began a five-year tenure as Sous Chef at Lyle’s, the Michelin-starred restaurant. He later served as Sous Chef at Planque before setting off on his own.
Most recently, he opened Norbert’s alongside John Ogier, co-founder and partner of Lyle’s. Norbert’s is a rotisserie chicken spot known for its concise yet crowd-pleasing menu. For Fourth of July weekend, he’s joining forces with Matthew Reade, a friend and collaborator from their time at Lyle’s.
Matthew Reade
Starting his career, Matthew Reade spent three and a half years at Embla in Melbourne before moving to London. There, he joined the opening kitchen team at Brat at Climpson’s Arch before moving on to Lyle’s, where he spent another three years.
No stranger to a pop-up, Reade has hosted countless menu takeovers across New Zealand, Australia, Thailand, Brussels, Scotland, and England.

A Special Wine List!
Wythe Wine Director and fellow Lyle's alum, Gabriella Borg Costanzi, will assemble a bottle list that channels the rebel spirit of the wine program at Lyle’s. Emphasis on well-made classics, carefully selected natural wines, and off-menu surprises from the Le Crocodile Cellar that celebrate craft and quality over prestige labels and hype.

And! As if that wasn’t enough, a by-the-glass takeover by Terrestrial Wines.
